Ryan O'Toole is a technologist with a passion for developing innovative web and mobile applications that transform user experiences.

Based in Los Angeles, he founded Stadio, a company focused on helping businesses engage with customers through guest Wi-Fi networks.

With a background as an entrepreneur in Cambridge, Ryan created a healthcare technology firm that leverages mobile phones as tools for behavioral health monitoring and care network interaction.

During his time at the MIT Media Lab, Ryan conducted research on creating a social network tailored for ad-hoc consumer groups to analyze their collective financial behavior through data mining and visualizations.

Ryan holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts & Music with a minor in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.

He further pursued his education with a Science Masters (S.M.) from the MIT Media Lab, focusing on the Center for Civic Media and the Computing Culture Group.

Throughout his career, Ryan has held key positions such as Chief Technology Officer at Stadio, Lecturer at the University of Southern California's Games School, and Senior Product Manager at ZestFinance.

He also co-founded and served as VP of Product at Ginger.io, worked as a Research Assistant at MIT Media Lab, and gained experience as a Technical Producer at CBS Television Studios.
