Ryan Neal

Ryan Neal is a journalist, writer, and editor based in New York City. He specializes in covering financial technology, or fintech, for InvestmentNews. Neal received his bachelor's degrees in English and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, before earning his Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

Neal's writing career began at the Santa Barbara Independent where he worked as an intern reporter. He has since gained experience in various media outlets and has written about a wide range of topics, including music, sports, politics, technology, finance, art, and entertainment. Prior to his current position, Neal was the Technology Editor - Financial Planning at Arizent and a Technology Reporter and Columnist at InvestmentNews.
