Ryan L. Haugen is the Founder and Board President of The Silent Warrior Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans who experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). Established in 2016, the organization aims to reduce veteran suicide rates and facilitate mindful healing through spiritual retreats and mindfulness practices.123
Haugen is a veteran himself, having served in the United States Navy for four years during the Gulf War. He has extensive experience in veteran advocacy, having worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Veterans Service Representative for over seven years. His efforts in this role were recognized with a commendation from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for outstanding service.12
In addition to his military service, Haugen holds degrees in Marketing from both the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he was actively involved in various student organizations and veteran causes.2 His work at The Silent Warrior Project reflects his commitment to helping veterans reintegrate into civilian life and find healing from their experiences.14
