Ryan Koppes
Assistant Professor at Northeastern University; Chemical Engineering
Ryan Koppes is the Principal Investigator of the laboratory for Neuromodulation and Neuromuscular Repair at Northeastern University. He is also an Instructor of Chemical Engineering Design Lab II. His research focuses on developing technologies to integrate synthetic electronics with biological tissue for cardiovascular diagnostics and repair. Additionally, he explores the interactions between the autonomic nervous system and the brain-cardiovascular system communication. Ryan holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as a high school degree from Northfield Mount Hermon. He has diverse professional experience, serving as an Assistant Professor at Northeastern University, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT, a Graduate Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an Alpine Racing Coach at Mount Snow, and holding various roles at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Cleveland Clinic.
