Ryan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he pursued a Master's Degree in Geography and Geographic Information Science, and the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where he obtained a B.S. in Environmental Science with minors in Environmental Studies and Geography, along with a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Certification.
His professional journey includes roles such as Graduate Research Assistant at US Army Corps of Engineers, Research Fellow at NOAA, and Sales Support Specialist at Recreational Equipment, Inc. Ryan has also contributed as a Thru Hiker at the Appalachian Trail and held various positions at University of Michigan-Dearborn, including GIS Lab Proctor, Research Assistant, and Sustainability Intern.
