Managed several small pods concurrently of 3-4 graduates each while they were hired as contractor developers working for external customers. 
Hired, trained, and mentored those graduates for the duration of their contracts resulting in an 80% conversion from contractor to full-time employee for grads who finished this program.
Worked with host companies to evaluate the program and helped them establish their own apprentice programs.

Lambda School

Pods Engineering Manager

Established in house apprenticeship, Labs at Lambda School, for students nearing the end of the Lambda School program. 
Managed teams of students working on software projects. 
Worked with internal and external stakeholders to plan, define, scope and design projects.
Integrated career preparation activities like "whiteboard practice" and mock interviews to Labs schedule to help prepare students for jobs.
Over nearly four years helped over 2,000 people find their first software job.

Labs Director

My team at Podium focused on helping our customers connect to our platform with systems they were already using. We built custom integrations for various CRM systems including SalesForce, DispatchTrack, DealerSocket, Eaglesoft, Dentrix and ~150 more. 

- Used Elixir/Phoenix to build API Clients and CSV parsing apps within a SOA architecture 
- Implemented a RabbitMQ messaging service to connect various applications
- Maintained a legacy NodeJS application 
- Built an on premise integration using C#/ASP.net 
- Hired, trained and mentored other engineers.
