Ryan Grim
DC bureau chief for The Intercept and contributor for The Young Turks
Ryan Grim is a prominent American journalist and author, currently known for his role as the former Washington, D.C. bureau chief at The Intercept. He was born on March 23, 1978, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from St. Mary's College of Maryland and a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Maryland.125
Grim has had a diverse career in journalism, previously serving as the Washington, D.C. bureau chief for HuffPost from 2009 to 2017.24 During his tenure at HuffPost, his team was twice named finalists for the Pulitzer Prize.35 He has also worked as a reporter for Politico and Washington City Paper, and as an editor for Frequency Magazine.14
In addition to his work at The Intercept, Grim is a contributor to The Young Turks and has appeared on MSNBC as a pundit.1 He is the author of several books, including "This Is Your Country on Drugs" and "We've Got People".25 Grim co-founded Strong Arm Press, an independent progressive publishing house.5
In July 2024, Grim left The Intercept to co-found Drop Site News with Jeremy Scahill, the co-founder of The Intercept.56 He is also a co-host of Counterpoints on Breaking Points alongside Emily Jashinsky.25 His LinkedIn profile can be found under the username ryan-grim-7408675.1

Just heard a friend describe what's happening on the frontlines in Ukraine-Russia as a "male genocide" and it hits really hard. The war has gone on as long as WW1 or longer and the conditions are horrifying and young men are dying by the many thousands (!) every single week.
