Ryan Gariepy is a skilled mechatronics engineer with a focus on autonomous robotics, covering unmanned ground, sea, and aerial vehicles of diverse shapes and sizes.

His expertise includes high-level system design, component selection, firmware development, and analysis of complex systems.

In management, he has experience in IP strategy, product roadmaps, R&D, academic research, HR, and corporate budgeting.

Specializing in machine vision, controls & path planning, system architecture, and multi-robot systems, Ryan also excels in user interface design, business development, R&D management, and technical sales.

He holds degrees in MASc Mechanical Engineering and BASc Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Ryan has held prominent positions such as CTO at OTTO Motors and Clearpath Robotics by Rockwell Automation, Co-Chair at Canadian Robotics Council, and Board Member at Open Robotics.

He was the R24 Keynote Speaker at R-24 and has contributed significantly as the CTO & Co-Founder of Clearpath Inc., Robotics Software Developer at Aeryon Labs Inc, and Hardware Engineering Team Member at KIVA SYSTEMS INC.
