    Ryan's educational journey includes studies in Creative Communications at Red River College, PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Waterloo, Space Studies Program Completion at the International Space University, Cinematography and Film/Video Production at Winnipeg Film Group, Improvisation/Sketch Writing at Second City Training Centre, M.A. in Communication and Culture from York University, and B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing/History from Brandon University. He also engaged in studies at Tamkang University and The University of Winnipeg.

    With a rich organizational background, Ryan has served as a Sessional Instructor at both The University of Winnipeg and Brandon University, held roles like PhD Candidate, Instructor, Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo, and contributed to various capacities at organizations like the Association for Progressive Communications, International Institute for Sustainable Development, The Marquis Project, Library of Social Science, and Topia: The Canadian Journal of Cultural Studies.
