The future of how Muslims meet their partner.Marriage is central to many Muslims’ upbringings yet ethnic, family, and religious pressures make this a difficult search.Yet they aren’t catered for by the casual, Western apps and existing Islamic offerings are outdated and ineffective websites.We built a product that’s fun, halal, and works, one for today’s generation.After 3.5 years from start to finish, I left the company with 1.5M users and more than $5M in annual revenues.

Primary objective was porting any Web Trends based streaming solutions to the new Adobe Real Time firehose API. As this latter product was in Beta this involved working closely with Adobe to secure a developer friendly implementation. Secondary task was to develop further in-house products to aid employees.

In charge of the company’s existing product architecture (multiple Linode virtual servers)and its maintenance along with the design and development of further projects. Grew and heavily refined existing systems and launched both the Urban Tribe iOS application along with the Bath Student Union service.

During this short Winter holiday employment I developed further visualisations using Web Trend's streaming API and provided maintenance on existing systems.

Developed the world’s first social guest list service that leveraged social sign-in to bothbetter quantify guests and promote an event. The service was used by over 1,000 event organisers, 25,000 individual attendees, and collected in excess of 75,000 names. As the sole founder and director of the Limited company I was tasked with all aspects of running a SaaS business. From branding to marketing to programming to administrating, I learnt my hand at all.

Working closely with WebTrends, I helped architect and develop a web analytics streaming API that leveraged HTML5 web sockets to convey activities on any given property in real time (<a href="http://webtrends.com/solutions/digital-measurement/streams">http://webtrends.com/solutions/digital-measurement/streams</a>), visualisations of which can be seen throughout ASOS's London HQ. I also developed a system used to track all affiliate traffic to ASOS web properties which, still in use today, handles hundreds of thousands of referrals.

I founded my first business, an event promotion service advertising “where to be tonight” with accompanying special offer, for three consecutive nights. I designed and developed the website which involved extensive learning of core development skills. During these three nights the service gained 2,000 unique visitors to the website and 500 attendees redeeming vouchers.
