As a Software Engineering Manager for Disney Streaming, I work in the Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution segment which includes Disney+, Star+, Hulu, and ESPN+.

I manage engineering and direct reports for ESPN+, <a href="http://NHL.com">NHL.com</a>, and the NHL team sites, overseeing development that reaches tens-of-millions of users. As an engineering leader, I work with other leaders on architecture initiatives across the company.

Software Engineering Manager

Lead a development team and helped implement and reinforce standards and best practices. Built Axios HQ, a web application product which helped companies write internal communications with Smart Brevity.

-  Developed a React application that utilized a Python/Django REST API and GraphQL.
-  Implemented a web socket architecture to allow for real-time communication between users working in a rich text editor built on ProseMirror.
-  Worked with Product Design to create and implement a Design System and Component Library, to better support app-wide design patterns and changes.
-  Drove support from Product to develop a pattern for paying down technical debt iteratively with existing initiatives and greatly reduced the application overhead.
-  Significantly increased Web Vitals scores and setup monitoring.
-  Migrated internal tooling functionality off of the main app and onto a new NextJS app, allowing for more rapid tool development with the help of our new Component Library.
-  Supported career growth of engineering team with goal setting, recurring one-on-ones, and detailed feedback.
-  Worked with leadership to develop growth plans that met our roadmap goals.
