Ruth Potts

Ruth Potts is an accomplished leader in the youth development and international development sectors. She holds a master's degree in International Development from Northumbria University and has completed two additional degrees in Community and Youth Work from the University of Sunderland and a Foundation degree in Youth and Community from the University of Greenwich. Ruth has dedicated her career to changing communities through the power of young people, ensuring every young person can access opportunities that change their lives and the lives of those around them.
With a wealth of experience gained from a diverse range of organizations, Ruth is currently Director of Membership Services at the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). She has previously held roles such as Area Growth and Development Manager, Interim Growth and Development Manager, and Senior Growth and Development Officer at The Scouts, Recruitment Manager (NCS) at National Youth Agency, Regional Development Officer at Scout Association, Strategic Head of Youth Work at Trinity Youth Association and Senior Youth Development Worker at ATAC.
Ruth is highly motivated and has a proven track record in successful leadership and management of staff including remote and international teams. She has a strong interest in inclusion and development both in the UK and internationally, volunteering at a national and international level on issues around inclusion and dialogue as a tool for peace and tolerance. She also brings energy and enthusiasm to every new challenge that she encounters, firmly believing that success starts with building great partnerships and relationships.
