Russell Moorehead

Russell D. Moorehead, PE, is a Vice President at Croy Engineering and head of its Chattanooga office.12 He joined Croy in January 2019 to lead and support the expansion of the firm's efforts into the Tennessee market.13 With nearly four decades of experience in civil engineering, Moorehead has worked on several notable projects in the greater Chattanooga area, including site improvements for Nokian Tyres, Amazon Distribution Facility, and La-Z-Boy Manufacturing Facility.12

Moorehead is highly involved in professional societies, having served as the ASCE Tennessee Section Chattanooga Branch President and later as the ASCE Tennessee Section President.1 He currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for ACEC Tennessee.2 Moorehead is also a 2014 graduate of Leadership Chattanooga.1

In recognition of his contributions to the engineering profession and community service, Moorehead recently received the Jack W. Anderson Engineering Leadership Award from the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE).12 He is actively involved in his community, serving as the Treasurer of the Suck Creek Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and volunteering for disaster relief efforts, such as those following Hurricane Harvey in 2017.12

Moorehead holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.3
