IT Manager - Enterprise Application Development - Denver International Airport 

As a Technology PMO Manager, Russ lead a team of 10-15 Project Managers, focused on a portfolio of over $10m, which supports technology projects throughout all departments within the City and County of Denver. Starting with exemplary relationships, Russ's team uses metrics, data, and best practice, to consistently and successful implement some custom, mostly cloud-based solutions, which decrease costs and increase technology security, availability, and end user satisfaction.

Program Management Office (PMO) Manager

Russ assumed the role of Resource Manager of the Business and Systems Analyst (BSA) team, responsible for supporting over 300 applications which make city-wide technologies run securely and reliably. Resource Management focus on team staffing, development, along with process and performance improvement of requirements (integration and application) management, system utilization, and analysis for all systems. The team of FTE and Contractor Analysts, ranging in size from 18-25 direct-reports, support cloud, SaaS, hosted, and in-house applications used every day by City and County of Denver employees and residents.

IT Manager - Systems Planning and Analysis 

Russ was hired to lead city-wide implementations and initiatives for the Technology Services (TS) PMO. 
Primary role was leading the on-time, under-budget implementations of multiple Workday modules: Recruiting, Expense, Accounts Receivable, and Learning Management, for the entire city. 
As the primary liaison between TS and Denver Elections, Russ was also the PM for elections technology support for all Denver County elections.

IS Manager - Service Operations and Governance
NNA created this position for Russ to own evolution and stabilization of IT Service Operations  and Governance of internal Information Systems processes.  Using his expertise managing on and off-shore resources, ITIL and COBIT best practice, and partnerships with his previous projects, Russ's laser-focus is on working with his staff of 20 direct and matrix employees to optimize the right work with the right teams, while maintaining quality services for internal customers.
 
IS Lead - Enterprise IT Change Management - Russ was brought over to optimize NNAs IT Change and Release Management implementation.  With a direct-report and matrix team of 5 in the US and India, his ITIL Implementation experience, and previous knowledge of NNAs infrastructure, Russ drove continuous improvement with process, KPIs, and systems with stakeholders in the Americas. Russ also managed the upgrade of ServiceNow to Fuji and Helsinki versions, including the requirements, UAT, communications and approval from internal and external stakeholders. 

IS Manager - Service Desk - Russ was hired by Nissan North America (NNA) as an IS Manager, to own the in-sourcing of the internal Service Desk for all of NNA, Russ deployed a the new CaaS call center system, recruited, trained and managed a team of 60 (40 in the US and 20 in India) to take Tier 1 calls, and worked with the PMO to deploy a new ticketing system (SNOW) within 120 days of his hire.  With the Service Desk launched and successful, Russ went on to integrate Reporting, Business Analysis and ITIL best practices in his Service Desk and within the Service Management Office.

SAIC, (formerly Engility and Dynamics Research Corporations) is a Federal contracting company which hired Russ initially to launch project management within the Colorado practice and grow a PMO with best practice.  In developing his role with DRC, Russ was accountable for implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of an infrastructure solutions portfolio for three agencies within the State of Colorado.  With a team of 30 direct-report and matrix staff, his responsibilities included Managing the PMO and Business Analytics for the practice, Service Portfolio development and management, Technology Service Transition for over 8,000 end users in 64 counties, as well as ownership of all ITIL, PMBOK and Agile continuous improvement initiatives.
