Ruksana Hussain

Ruksana Hussain is an award-winning journalist, editor, and writer with expertise in creating engaging content for both print and digital publications. She has over 19 years of experience in the field and is a member of several prestigious media organizations. She has worked on multiple beats with a focus on long-form features, interviews, event coverage, business profiles, community spotlights, fact-checking, and other forms of narrative and creative writing.

Ruksana is a graduate of Ted Scripps Leadership Institute and Society of Professional Journalists’ Dori Maynard Diversity Leadership Program fellow. She has won several awards for her exceptional work in the field of technology reporting, foreign correspondent feature, online columnist, and business reviews. She was also a finalist for Los Angeles Press Club’s Southern California Journalism Awards in two categories – Food/Culture Reviews and Business.

Ruksana launched Traveler and Tourist digital magazine as a proof of concept in 2018, which she continued to publish as a monthly lifestyle magazine in 2020. She is also known for working with corporate and individual clients as well as custom content companies, writing content, and assisting with related requirements like proofreading, blogging, ghostwriting, e-newsletters, website copy, social media, editorial calendars, annual reports, and more.
