Roy Teo, a former Executive Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), has made significant contributions to Singapore's financial and technology sectors. He initiated Singapore FinTech Festival - the world's largest FinTech event - which saw a jump from 14,000 attendees in 2016 to over 60,000 in 2019. Under his stewardship, the Singapore FinTech ecosystem experienced unprecedented growth from fewer than 70 companies in 2014 to over 1,000 in 2017. Roy has also held various positions in Barclays, Arthur Andersen, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and IBM. He studied in Victoria Junior College for his GCE 'A' Level and graduated with a degree in Information Systems and Computer Science with Merit from the National University of Singapore. His expertise spans industries and interests, including finance and investments, technology, and fitness. Roy is a certified Personal Trainer and Instructor for Group Fitness and Les Mills The TRIP. He is currently the Chief of Industry Development & Special Projects at Sport Singapore and the co-founder of Fitness For Good Singapore.
