Roy Schwartz

Roy Schwartz, MD, PhD is a highly accomplished clinician with a passion for leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Schwartz has extensive experience in both medicine and computer science, making him a unique asset in the healthcare industry. He studied medicine at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem before pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in AI-enabled Healthcare at UCL.

Dr. Schwartz has researched and published extensively in the fields of imaging, large clinical trials, and big data analysis. He has a strong background in medical retina, and currently serves as a Specialty Doctor in Medical Retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. This comes after a successful stint as a Medical Retina Research Fellow at the same institution.

Prior to his clinical work, Dr. Schwartz served as a physician assistant and held other medical positions at several Israeli hospitals, including Tel Aviv Medical Center, Hadassah Medical Hospital, and Sheba - Tel HaShomer Hospital. Dr. Schwartz has also held roles in healthcare IT, serving as an Information Specialist and Project Manager at Infolink, and as a System Analyst and UI Specialist at Matrix.

Dr. Schwartz's educational software design experience at IDF further showcased his interest in using technology to improve patient care. His diverse background, and strong emphasis on leveraging technology, make him a sought-after clinician in the industry. Dr. Schwartz's research interests focus on AI and Big Data, and how they can be applied to large clinical trials in order to create patient-focused outcomes.
