Rotimi Thomas

Rotimi Thomas is the CEO and Co-Founder of SunFi, a fintech platform that facilitates access to solar energy solutions in Nigeria. SunFi aims to simplify the process for customers to find, pay for, and utilize solar systems through various payment plans, including lease-to-own and subscription models.12

Before founding SunFi, Rotimi co-founded Aspire Power Solutions, a company focused on solar installation and services, where he gained extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. His career also includes significant roles at Siemens, where he worked on market development and investment management for gas-to-power projects across Sub-Saharan Africa and North America.13

Rotimi holds dual master's degrees in Business Administration and Environmental Management from Duke University, where he also engaged in renewable energy consulting and leadership development roles during his studies.12 He has a diverse background in project development, large infrastructure investments, and wealth management, having traded substantial amounts in securities prior to his ventures in renewable energy.3

In addition to his professional pursuits, Rotimi enjoys martial arts, music, and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs.1
