Ross Weir

Ross Weir is the Co-Founder of Progressive Sports Technologies Ltd, an innovation consultancy established in 2001, specializing in servicing the sport, fitness, and outdoor markets. The company offers a diverse range of services including sports product testing, research, development, and validation across various product tiers from lifestyle to elite.

In his role at Progressive, Ross undertakes a wide array of projects and programs, ranging from lab-based research on materials to validating new product designs for renowned brands such as Nike and Puma using human subjects. He excels in idea generation, product development, prototyping, testing, validating, and project management, operating at the juncture of athlete performance and equipment enhancement, fostering learning, understanding, and innovation.

Ross Weir pursued his education at Loughborough University, where he delved into Sports Technology, Materials, Ergonomics, Design, Human Sciences, Manufacturing, and Innovation. Prior to his university studies, he completed A' Levels in Industrial and Product Design at Sprowston High School.

Beyond his Co-Founder role at Progressive Sports Technologies Ltd, Ross has held positions such as Director of Product Innovation at lululemon Whitespace within lululemon athletica, and Researcher at the Sports Technology Research Group, showcasing his extensive experience and expertise in the sports technology and innovation domain.
