Ross Mayfield is a product lead at Zoom, responsible for the development of Zoom Apps and Integrations. With over 15 years of experience leading product teams in the creation of social and collaboration products for distributed teams, Mayfield is a stalwart in the field of internet entrepreneurship.
Mayfield's career began in the non-profit and public sectors before co-founding RateXchange, a publicly traded B2B bandwidth exchange, and Socialtext, a social enterprise collaboration pioneer later acquired by PeopleFluent. He then went on to helm Pingpad as CEO, leading the company to an acquisition by LinkedIn for $120M.
At LinkedIn, Mayfield held multiple roles, including business development, product sales, and marketing, and served as the first product manager for LinkedIn Events. He was also the 57th member of LinkedIn while he was there.
Mayfield is an active advisor to several consumer and enterprise SaaS startups, bringing his expertise and insights to help these companies develop and grow.
Education-wise, Mayfield studied at Foothill College, Gunn High School, UCLA Anderson School of Management, and the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
