Rosina Samadani

Rosina Samadani is an accomplished healthcare technology expert with 24 years of experience. She is the CEO of Oculogica, a medical device company specializing in developing breakthrough technology for the diagnosis of concussions and traumatic brain injuries. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, Samadani has established a successful career in the healthcare industry.

During her tenure, Samadani raised $11M+ from accredited investors, angel groups, and venture capital, and led the procurement of $500K+ funding via NIH and FDA grants. She also established successful relationships with major research centers and the Department of Defense. Additionally, Samadani implemented QA systems, authored multiple patents, and conducted multiple FDA interactions for disruptive, breakthrough diagnostics via the de novo and 510(k) pathways.

Samadani is the winner of the 2018 Angel Capital Association Luis Villalobos Award for Innovative Startup and the 2019 NIMBLE Health Vanguard Award for entrepreneurship in healthcare. She is also listed as one of the Fast Company's Most Creative People in Business for 2020.

Before joining Oculogica, Samadani was the founder and president of Truth On Call, Earth's fastest verified healthcare practitioner input. She was also the founder and president of Capella Advisors, a strategic consulting firm to the healthcare industry. Samadani spent seven years serving in the healthcare practice of McKinsey and Company, where she contributed to efforts ranging from clinical development to product marketing.

Samadani is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Wayland Academy, and she serves as a judge for various entrepreneurship and healthcare sector competitions.
