We started Marketplay to make e-commerce fun and frictionless for millennials, with a first-of-its-kind mobile app that introduced video at the core of the listing/browsing experience and messaging as the transactional platform. Our team of 8 people worked on really cool things like matching algorithms, chatbots, live streaming, speech recognition and we got to grow this C2C/B2C marketplace to 100K MAU, 20K DAU and $250K in GMV.

I acted as CTO and was responsible for the tech team, managing a group of great engineers. I also had the responsibility to set the technology vision and strategy, platform architecture and development methodologies as well as tools and frameworks.

Managed a group of professionals that was split part on the ground and part in different countries. I had to build up a fast paced development process in order to meet the users and market needs as I was leading product + technology in one of the best classifieds site in LatAm.

- Responsible for technology and product road mapping.
- Led development and QA process with teams on the ground and off shore.
- Interfaced with business, customer support, operations and infrastructure areas in order to meet company's goals and targets.
- Managed to reduce IT costs by introducing platform improvements and optimizations.
- Successfully launched desktop and mobile overhaul and UI optimizations with increase of KPIs.
- Delivered value to users every week by implementing a super agile development methodology by combining Scrum, Kanban and own processes. 
- Successfully transitioned tech core platforms with 0 impact on users.

In 2014 I was given with the Critical Talent Award at eBay, this is an award given to the top 1% of performers every year because their outstanding performance and importance they have to the company and business.

Software Development Manager

After alamaula.com acquisition I had to switch from entrepreneur and co-founder to technology and product leader backed by eBay. I had a quick ramp up and started scaling the team, and prepare the platform to the next level. In less than 2 years we took alamaula.com to the #1 position in Argentina.

Here are some of my duties I had:
- Responsible for the product development strategy and roadmap.
- Managed and led software development projects in alaMaula platform, mobile web and mobile apps as well as software maintenance.
- Leveraged technology and innovation aligned with business, seeking the benefit for alaMaula platform.
- I had to keep my team focused on the business priorities from software development perspective in order to take the most out from them.
- People management, helped them to achieve their goals and succeed at work.
- Interfaced with different areas like Customer Services, Ads Integration, Site Ops, Marketing, Social Media, Strategy.

Head of Product Development - alaMaula - LatAm

Co-founder of a startup called alaMaula about a classifieds sites network with 10 countries in Latin America.

Big achievements:
- The platform was converted from a single country platform into a multi-country platform with multiples locations and different setups of categories allowing this to be an horizontal or vertical platform according to the needs. 
- Implementation of a site management tool, allowing to create a classified site in minutes, like a classifieds site factory.
- Successful migration to the cloud computing, fact that allowed a huge growth week by week and millions of visitors per month.

Acquisition by eBay
- I've lived an amazing and enriched experience during all the acquisition process, preparing the business and platform according their needs.
- The platform was well received from technological point of view by the eBay IT staff. They could have the platform running for testing in their side in less than 30 minutes with everything configured.
