With my promotion to Manager of Marketing and eCommerce I am working as the Product Owner (PO) for the Agile Scrum process at InsureMyTrip. I work closely with the Product Manager to ensure products stay on timeline and work with the development scrum teams to keep sprints on task and moving forward. I work hand in hand with the Scrum Masters to continually improve the development process and work toward completion of projects that will increase revenue for the company.

I am also responsible for the managing a five person team that runs the day-to-day marketing strategy for the main B2C brand. My primarily role is to create the overall message and mission for the brand voice, then help the team execute this message through our top channels. Our team goal is to spread knowledge of our product that grows our target audience and buyers while nurturing our returning customers. The team represents every aspect of a full functioning digital marketing department: SEO, SEM, Public Relations and Media Management, Content Development and Implementation, as well as Graphic Design.

I managed the maintenance and success of websites for five different brands under the SCC umbrella: Western Schools, CE Express, GSCCE, ADINet and RCECS. These five brands hold a large part of the continuing education market for nurses, behavioral health professionals ad dental professionals. Toward the end of my time at SCC, I helped to merge the five brands too two - Western Schools and CE Express. 

The largest part of my weekly work revolved around maintaining a successful strategy for both email marketing, natural search and paid search campaigns. My team and I worked aggressively to grow the success of each marketing plan that extends from the prospects first look in their inbox or search results to the buying experience on the website. I managed a re-architecture of the large website, Western Schools to build natural search through URL structure, meta information and site content.

I worked with an in house graphic designer to build components and landing pages on the websites that will fulfill the customers' experience to increase satisfaction that will result in sales and return customers. I also prioritized the programmable changes for the websites to fix bugs customers struggle with during their experience after purchase as well as enhancements to make our sites more user friendly and competitive.

The management of success extends to daily reporting from various online metrics tools and organizing and analyzing the daily outputs in MicroSoft Excel. From these reports, I tweak the marketing strategies for social media, email and online content to reach our revenue goals.

I contributed to all marketing efforts for AliMed, inc.'s start-up, sister company - EasierLiving.com.  The one-stop shop for at-home medical supplies to help care for you or a loved one.

I oversaw social interactions with partners and consumers through Facebook, Twitter and The EasierLiving Blog - which topics range from fitness to tips for managing arthritis pain. I also designed the original look of the blog and tweak it every day to meet our SEO and outreach goals. I also oversee content generation on all of our social media platforms - gaining followers and driving people back to the website. 

I also worked extensively within the eCommerce back-end of the website. I organized new products to be set up by the purchasing department, priced the items competitively and created marketing plans for various product lines. 

Then I built original product content and categorize the items on the website. I edited and maintained the current products on the website to meet the consumer's needs by creating new categories, entry points and usability on the site. 

I managed all customer service connections with EasierLiving.com's customers.  From releasing orders through the order management system, Microsoft Dynamics AX, to placing orders and trouble shooting customers concerns over the phone.

I was an integral part of a small team who grew the business by nearly 500% year over year.

Consumer Marketing Manager

I have worked as a part of the WB Marketing Team since late August of 2010, starting when I was in a rotational program.  I accepted a permanent job in October. 

As a member of the WB Mason web team, I manage and maintain the content on our affiliated websites.  I work with merchandisers to obtain correct written content or product photographs.  If the vendor cannot or does not provide the material, I write the content, photograph the product, edit the image, and upload all the content to the website.  I help manage the utility of the site, making it as user friendly as possible.  This includes input in website layout and content as well as categories, attributes, and keywords.

I worked in the Customer Service department of the company - working closely with customers as well as sales representatives to bring the highest level of customer satisfaction while also learning the basis of the W.B. Mason business plan - customer intimacy.

I spent a short amount of time working within the W.B. Mason distribution department. Not only did I shadow truck drivers, pickers and packers and warehouse workers, but I also was about to see the corporate side of distribution. We got to see how the numbers worked and how the distribution team worked to combat any issues with delivery, backorders, misfills and short ships.

In the Marketing department, I worked closely with the eCommerce team. I help to organize the website by working within W.B. Mason's database to fill content. I helped to provide content on the newly started social media sites - drafting Facebook content.  I worked heavily with Photoshop and Illustrator in this position as well - to edit images for the website.

I organized client information and event information and invitations using Salesforce CRM. I drafted questions for Racepoint Group CEO, Larry Weber, to use during podcast interviews with influential professionals in the social media and digital marketing field. I also helped to maintain the Facebook and, consquently, the Twitter pages for Racepoint - updating clients and employees of exciting trends in the industry. I did substansial research on location-based applications for smart phones for the client newsletter. Lastly, I helped my supervisor with materials for media kits for confrences as well as keeping track of webinar registration and follow up.

Agency Marketing Intern

It is  a hectic, Web 2.0 agency is such a change from the hectic, small agency atmosphere. I absolutely loved it.  I learned buckets of information from the Account Coordinators and Managers.  I used media list building software to construct lists as well as media briefs.  Every day I dove head first into the web-based world and come up for air with a smile.  Twitter, blogs, and Linkedin are just a few of the services I explored - and of course the countless Web sites to understand them or obtain their directories.

Public Relations Intern

I focused on a summer reading initiative for one of the agency's clients.  It was really rewarding to call kids every Monday morning and tell them they had just won a bike! The winner was always so excited!  I had the privilege of interviewing each winner and one of their parents, and then I wrote a press release which was released to local papers. I also helped Tiffanie with a few events throughout the summer! Those were rewarding but hectic and challenging. Walking into the public relations industry was eye opening, but I loved every minute of it.
