    Rong Xu is a distinguished Professor of Biomedical Informatics and the founding Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Drug Discovery at the School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University.

    Her expertise in computer science encompasses areas like natural language processing, machine learning, data mining, ontology, and imaging retrieval, while her biomedical research interests include drug discovery, disease gene discovery, human gut microbiome, drug toxicity prediction, pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics, and post-market drug safety surveillance.

    Dr. Xu has held various academic positions at Case Western Reserve University, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.
