Ronan O'Malley

Ronan O'Malley is a highly accomplished data scientist with expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and software engineering. He's the lead data scientist at Wood's AI & Analytics team, where he designs, develops, and deploys intelligent software solutions for energy and industrial customers. Ronan holds a Ph.D. in computer vision and has previously led Intel's participation in a European research project focused on smart grid and IoT. Additionally, he founded and served as CEO of Fixational, a start-up company that developed software products for eye-tracking and gesture control. With experience in architecture and algorithms, Ronan has led teams and managed large, complex software projects with hardware, software, and research components. He's also a former adjunct lecturer in Electronic & Computer Engineering at NUI Galway.
