Ronald Cohn

Dr. Ronald Cohn is a distinguished professional who has made significant contributions to the fields of pediatrics and genetics. He currently holds the position of President and CEO at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, a role he assumed in 2019. Additionally, he serves as the incoming Professor and Chairman of the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto and Paediatrician-in-Chief of The Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Cohn obtained his medical degree from the University of Essen, Germany, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, followed by a combined residency in Pediatrics and Genetics at Johns Hopkins University. He later joined the faculty at the McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine at Johns Hopkins, where he served as the Director and established the world's first multidisciplinary Centre for Hypotonia. Recognized with several prestigious awards for his exceptional patient care and research, such as the NIH Young Innovator Award in 2008, Dr. Cohn is dedicated to advancing medical science.
