Improving the Wellbeing of Mothers during and post Pregnancy.
Roma Van der Walt is a dedicated individual who has spent the past five years running a pre- and postnatal business aimed at supporting parents in maintaining physical and emotional well-being through training, childcare, and community engagement. Despite being a mother of a 2-year-old son named Max, Roma's firsthand experiences have given her unique insights into the challenges and joys of parenting, including dealing with postpartum issues like thyroiditis and undergoing hernia surgery. This personal journey has inspired Roma to initiate a new venture called Open Haus, a parenting collective that seeks to provide a support network beyond the conventional understanding of child-rearing villages. With a background in sports science, Roma holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln, and has a diverse professional history that includes founding Matilda Care, entrepreneurial roles at Antler, fitness editing at Well Rounded, and various positions at the United Nations, RTL Television, and RPR Unternehmensgruppe. As a former member of the German national team for UIPM - World Pentathlon, Roma brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her current endeavor.
