Roland Perold

Roland Perold is a multifaceted theater practitioner, known for his polished and upmarket offerings in popular song, jazz standards, and musical theater. He holds a Master's Degree in music from Bath Spa University, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Musical Theatre and Speech & Drama from Trinity College London, and Music from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Roland is an experienced performer, composer, writer, and director, with a particular interest in the "Golden Age" of entertainment. He has sailed the high seas as a singer for TUI Cruises GmbH, and has performed cabaret and musical theater for many other audiences, including those on various cruise liners. He has written book, music, and lyrics for a number of chamber musicals, and has been involved in the development of new musical theater writing. Roland also has experience in teaching, having taught music and vocal music at both Michaelhouse and Waterfront Theatre School.
