Roland Asebedo
Director of Development and Emergency Services
Roland Asebedo is the Chief/Director of Denton County Emergency Services, a department responsible for Development and Planning, Emergency Management, Fire Marshal's Office, and Homeland Security. He oversees all response functions and leads a team of 27 staff members and 600 volunteer CERT and Amateur Radio Operators. Roland is also the County Fire Marshal by State Statute and heads five divisions within Denton County Development and Emergency Services. The agency serves the 952 square miles of Denton County and actively participates as a regional and state response partner, deploying personnel to various disasters in Texas since 2005. Roland Asebedo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Services Administration from Columbia Southern University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Fire Science/Firefighting from South Plains College.
