    Rohit Joshi is a highly respected software engineer, technology executive, and academician with a strong track record of developing successful and widely used products.

    He has extensive experience in managing early-stage products, overseeing end-to-end product delivery, and providing technical mentorship, particularly in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and large-scale data products.

    In his role as Chief Scientist at Vanguard, Rohit co-created the Personalized Plan Recommender engine that powers the Digital Advisor service.

    Previously, he co-founded PingAl, a conversational AI platform in the FinTech and Social space, where he led the Products & Engineering division.

    Before PingAl, Rohit served as the Head of Machine Learning Products at Embedly, a YCombinator startup later acquired by Medium, where he developed a popular video recommendation and content extraction engine used by major brands like Reddit and New York Times.

    His early career includes a position as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Labs (CSAIL), focusing on ML/NLU efforts in HealthTech and mentoring MIT PhD/Master students.

    Rohit also played a key role in Slitaz Linux, known as the best tiny Linux distribution, and led a tech-spinoff initiative during his PhD, managing a team for ML-driven Intensive Care Unit (ICU) remote monitoring.

    His career started at IBM, where he contributed to building an e-health system for wellness monitoring.

    Rohit holds a PhD in Computer Science specializing in Machine Learning and is an expert in advanced ML/NLU models such as RNN, LSTM, Tensor Factorization, and Transformers.

    He is a frequent presenter at major AI conferences like NIPS, AAAI, IJCAI, KDD, and AMIA.
