Prior to his role at Accenture, Taylor was the Chair of the UK's Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI), an advisory body set up by the UK government to ensure the safe and ethical use of artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies.5 As Chair, he played a key role in establishing the CDEI and shaping its work on AI governance and regulation.1
Taylor's career journey includes experience as a journalist in Silicon Valley, where he witnessed firsthand the disruption and opportunities brought by data and technology.1 He later moved into regulation, working in healthcare and education, before taking on the role of Chair at the CDEI.1
