Roger Dowler

Roger Dowler is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of extensive experience in closures for flexible packaging. Currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at ELPLAST America, a leading manufacturer of the EL-ZIP® brand of press-to-close zippers, he spearheads the development of innovative products and services tailored to meet customer needs and demands.

Prior to his current role, Roger held key positions at Presto Products, where as the Engineering Manager and Business Development Manager, he played a pivotal role in driving the development of the Slide-Rite closure and applicator, including the iconic Child-Guard child-resistant closure. With a diverse skill set in press-to-close zippers, slider closures, child-resistant closures, zipper and slider application machinery, business development, and comprehensive customer service and support, Roger is a respected figure in the packaging industry.

Roger Dowler pursued his undergraduate studies in BSME, Engineering, at West Virginia University, laying a strong foundation for his successful career in the field.

Throughout his career journey, Roger has been associated with renowned organizations such as ELPLAST, Reynolds Presto Products (formerly Pactiv), and Frito-Lay at PepsiCo, where he has held various roles ranging from Engineering Supervisor to Maintenance Supervisor, showcasing his versatility and expertise across different domains within the packaging industry.
