Rodrigo Novais

Rodrigo Novais is an experienced forestry engineer with a background in both private industry and public management. He graduated from the Federal University of Viçosa with a degree in Forestry Engineering, and he has since developed an impressive resume, having worked for major Brazilian businesses, including Aperam, TTG Brasil Investimentos Florestais, and Gerdau Aços Longos S.A.

His work in public management came during his time as a manager at the Nucleus Operational for Forests, Fisheries, and Biodiversity in Pirapora at the Instituto Estadual de Florestas de Minas Gerais. Since then, his private industry work has included that of Supervisor Forestal and later, Coordinator of the Environment at TTG Brasil Investimentos Florestais, where he focused on environmental regulation and forest certification in Brazilian emplacements.

His last work experience at Gerdau Aços Longos S.A. led him to take responsibility for the silviculture and charcoal production in the Rio Pardo de Minas unit, and then manage the charcoal production of all North Minas Gerais units. More recently, he has pursued an MBA in Project Management from the University of North Parana and completed a specialization in High-Productivity Forest Management at the Federal University of Parana.

Through his extensive work in public management and private industry, Rodrigo Novais has become a skilled and knowledgeable forestry engineer with expertise in silviculture, project management, forest certification, and environmental regulation.
