Roddy O'Connor, Ph.D.

Roddy O'Connor is a dedicated Biomedical Scientist with a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology and substantial postdoctoral experience in oncology and immunology. His expertise lies in bioengineered culture platforms, CAR-T cells, metabolism, and lentiviral gene delivery. Roddy has a strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and decision-making processes for RO1 grants, peer-reviewed research articles, and preclinical studies. He is well-versed in study protocol development and regulatory documentation for Phase IV clinical trials. Roddy actively collaborates with prestigious institutions like Penn, Columbia, and NYU to pioneer nano-based materials for expanding T cells in adoptive immunotherapy. His diverse skill set encompasses specialties such as CAR-T cells, metabolism, bioengineered T cell expansion platforms, miRNA antagomirs design & delivery, RNA interference, gene delivery methods, real-time PCR, immunocytochemistry, gene delivery in vivo, muscle-derived stem cell research, mouse models of cancer, EKG, and bioinformatics.
