Rodd Macklin

Rodd Macklin is a prominent figure in the finance and investment sector, currently serving as the Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director of Pennington Partners & Co., a private strategy and investment firm established in 2016. The firm manages over $1.5 billion in assets under management (AUM) and focuses on the comprehensive needs of wealthy families, emphasizing areas such as tax-advantaged investing and exit planning.12

In addition to his role at Pennington Partners, Rodd is a member of the investment committee and has co-founded several investment platforms, including SaaS Ventures and PTM Partners. He also serves as a fractional CFO for NGP Energy Technology Partners, a private equity firm specializing in energy-related investments, where he has been involved since 2008.12

Rodd's extensive career includes significant positions such as CFO at FJ Labs, NaviMed Capital, and Perseus LLC. At Perseus, he was part of the Executive Committee and managed a family office that oversaw substantial investments in the private equity sector. His earlier experience includes roles at American Capital, Legg Mason, and Arthur Andersen.12

He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from William & Mary. Rodd is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and has been active in community support initiatives in Washington D.C..12
