Rod Underwood

Rod Underwood is an experienced soccer coach and sporting director with a diverse career in professional soccer.1 He served as the Technical Director and Head Coach at Montego Bay United Football Club in Jamaica from 2017 to 2018.1 During his time there, he focused on player selection, staff development, and budget management to drive the club's success.1

Underwood's career highlights include:

1. Sporting Director and Head Coach at Chattanooga Football Club (December 2021 - October 2024), where he led the team to the 2023 regular season championship.1

2. Technical Director and Head Coach for the National Independent Soccer Association (January 2021 - December 2021).1

3. Head Coach for various clubs including Cleveland City Stars and Northeast Stars Football Club.1

4. Assistant Coach for Sacramento Republic FC, helping the team win the USL Pro Championship in 2014.3

5. Coach and Director at Portland Timbers MLS (2011-2014), where he worked with the academy and PDL teams.3
