Masters of Arts Candidate (History; Thesis Stream)
Robyn Jennings is a dedicated graduate student currently pursuing a 2-year MA degree in History with a focus on medieval European gender history at the University of Guelph. She has accelerated her program to be completed in 12 months instead of 24.
With a background in academia, Robyn serves as a Teaching Assistant (TA) at the University of Guelph for a Canadian history course. In this role, she conducts tutorials, evaluates essays, and engages with an extensive student cohort. This position marks her second experience as a TA.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Robyn has accumulated over 3 years of professional experience across various Canadian Government sectors including Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Standards Council of Canada (SCC), and Global Affairs Canada. Her roles involved clerical tasks, research, writing, data analysis, community outreach through emails and phone calls, and preparing official documents such as Ministerial Reports and briefing notes.
Robyn holds a BA in Honours History from Concordia University where she graduated with distinction, showcasing her academic excellence with a final mark of A in her Honours courses and an impressive overall GPA of 3.8.
