Robin Van Springel

Robin Van Springel, an independent underground retro producer known as Terminateur Benelux, embarked on his music journey in 1991 in Turnhout, Belgium.

In 1996, along with his partner Onig Voorhaen, he delved into spinning records and creating unforgettable underground deejay sets, exploring genres like Hardcore, Techno, Trance, and House.

Their success led them to perform at various parties in Antwerp and the Northern Kempen region, where Robin found a creative outlet in his sister's pub by experimenting with different music genres.

Over the years, Robin's musical evolution encompassed a diverse range of electronic styles, from 70's and 80's New Wave to Electro, fueled by his passion for collecting vinyl records that continue to inspire him.

Around 2003, Robin decided to shift his focus to producing his own music, setting up a home studio equipped with hardware including the iconic Commodore 64 SID chip, which remains a favorite of his.

Embracing music production software, Robin found comfort in using Propellerhead Reason and eventually ventured into his musical career, establishing his presence online through platforms like MySpace.

Under the aliases Robo-Panique! and Terminateur Benelux, Robin's creative projects gained momentum in 2003 and 2009, respectively, with ventures into Retroflux remixes and collaborations starting in 2016.

More recent projects under the name Droid Splash! T.B. Retroflux see Robin utilizing a variety of software and hardware tools, including Ableton, Akai MPC essentials, Cubase, and a plethora of plugins.
