Roberto Jimenez

Roberto Jimenez is a seasoned sustainability professional with over two decades of experience, specializing in managing sustainability issues for major corporations.

Currently, Roberto serves as the Head of Renewable Power Development - EMEA at Shell, where he leads the renewable power development business in Europe, setting strategies, managing teams, originating new business opportunities, overseeing M&A activities, and delivering projects.

His extensive background includes leading teams that supported corporates on sustainability topics and working in 25 countries across Africa, Americas, Asia, and Europe.

Roberto Jimenez holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University, and an additional MBA from Yale University.

Prior to his current role at Shell, Roberto held various positions including Solar Business Development Manager, Senior Pathfinder, and Senior Strategy and Portfolio Adviser at Shell. He also founded CO2.cr and held roles at ERM, URS Corporation, and Parker & Associates, Inc., focusing on environmental engineering and consulting.

With a diverse and comprehensive background in sustainability management, business development, team leadership, and project delivery, Roberto continues to make significant contributions to the renewable energy sector.
