He has a track record of success in sourcing, executing, and managing direct private equity investments, fund investments, and co-investments globally, with deal sizes ranging from $5 million to $250 million, across different industries and geographic regions.

Robert has demonstrated expertise in building and leading investment teams, growing companies, and creating equity value in the US, Europe, and the Middle East, resulting in multiple successful investment exits with impressive internal rates of return (IRRs) exceeding 50%.

Currently, Robert Wages serves as the Acting CEO of Venture Capital Bank in Bahrain, where his responsibilities include sourcing new investments, enhancing the performance of the existing portfolio of direct private equity and real estate investments, and strengthening the bank's operations for future growth.

His specialties include investment strategy, private equity investment, mergers and acquisitions, strategic growth, cross-border M&A and financings, portfolio oversight and management, operational and financial restructuring, MENA markets, emerging markets private equity, board of directors roles, investment committee participation, family office management, and transaction execution.
