Robert Shelwell is an accomplished IT executive, project manager, and risk management consultant with more than 20 years of experience working in the telecommunications, electricity, gas, and water sectors. He has a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure and software implementation projects while maintaining a win-win approach that prioritizes pragmatic and flexible solutions. Throughout his career, Robert has worked on both sides of the business vendor relationship, which has given him a unique perspective on the critical drivers of successful projects, as well as the risks involved and how to mitigate them.

In addition to his extensive project management experience, Robert has also worked in the information security domain as a CISO, specializing in ISO27001 and SOC2 Type 2 compliance projects. He is passionate about leading high-performing teams and adopts a supportive and empowering style to help individual team members reach their full potential.

Robert's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the University of South Africa and attendance at Clapham High School. Throughout his career, he has held senior management positions at Gentrack Ltd, PwC, and Telkom SA, where he provided independent assessments and recommendations to CEOs and Boards on ERP projects under stress due to budget, scope, or timeline blowouts.
