Robert Rangeley

Robert Rangeley is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in Biology.

He holds a Ph.D. in Biology from McGill University, an M.Sc. in Biology from the University of New Brunswick, and a B.Sc. Honours in Zoology from The University of Western Ontario.

With a strong academic foundation, Robert has held key positions in several reputable organizations, showcasing his expertise and leadership skills.

Currently, he serves as the Director of Science at Oceana Canada, contributing to marine conservation and environmental research.

Prior to his current role, Robert Rangeley demonstrated his proficiency as the Vice President of Science, Research & Innovation at WWF-Canada.

He has also undertaken roles such as VP Conservation & Atlantic and Atlantic Director at WWF-Canada, where he drove conservation efforts and strategic initiatives.

Robert's early career involved research and teaching positions, including serving as a Research Biologist & Post-doctoral researcher at the Canadian Department of Fisheries & Oceans.

He has also shared his knowledge as a Lecturer at Huntsman Marine Science Centre, McGill University, and the University of New Brunswick.

His extensive experience in academia and environmental organizations has equipped Robert with a deep understanding of marine science and conservation.
