Robert Pickmans

Robert Pickmans is a consultant at FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations). He joined the PtoP (From Protection to Production) team at FAO as a Research Assistant, focusing on impact analysis of cash transfer programs in Ethiopia and Malawi, as well as cross-country studies on the impact of cash transfers on non-farm enterprises.1
Pickmans is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.23 His previous experience includes working on the Living Standards Measurement Study team and the Human Development Network at the World Bank, as well as consulting for UNICEF.1 He holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.1
His research interests appear to be in the areas of development economics and social protection, with a focus on the impacts of cash transfer programs.12
