Career Before Politics
Before entering politics, Oliphant had a diverse career. He served as an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada, holding positions in various congregations across Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec, Ontario, and Yukon. Notably, he was the Senior Minister at Eglinton St. George’s United Church in Toronto. Additionally, from 2011 to 2015, he was the President and CEO of the Asthma Society of Canada.123
