Robert Kost

Robert Kost is a seasoned General Counsel with over 20 years of experience in corporate law and online technologies.

He is a lawyer, legal scholar, entrepreneur, and innovator, dedicated to helping businesses achieve their goals legally, ethically, and efficiently.

Robert has an extensive background that includes serving as executive vice president and general counsel for US Interactive, where he managed various aspects from mergers to intellectual property and negotiated contracts with Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to that, he held senior corporate counsel positions at IBM, Sears, CBS, and Prodigy Services Company, where he authored pioneering online agreements and filed a patent for the industry.

Additionally, Robert has provided legal analysis to the United States Congress Office of Technology Assessment, advising on intellectual property law and new technology.

He started his legal career as a law clerk at the Federal District Court for the District of New Hampshire.

Robert holds a BA in Philosophy from Kalamazoo College, an MA in Philosophy from Bowling Green State University, and a JD in Law from UNH School of Law.

Currently, he serves as the President and Lead Attorney at General Counsel Online and has held positions at notable organizations such as THEMATIX, Brand New Media Partners, Kinor Technologies, Portaga Inc., and US Interactive.
