Splash Analytics is an advanced data analytics firm serving a variety of industries.  I am a part of a small team that utilizes a variety of methods to develop predictive models, analytics driven strategies, and data visualizations in industries stretching from healthcare to finance to higher education.

Our company is capable of using several tools, but I focus mostly in R where I do statistical analyses, machine learning, and data visualization using the Shiny web development framework.

Virtual Peaker is a Louisville, KY based Internet of Things startup working with electrical utilities to control peak demand utilizing connected devices.  

At Virtual Peaker, I utilized the Angular Framework to assist with Front End development.

Edumedics is a company that combines the power of data, education, and medicine to deliver scalable, face-to-face, high-touch disease management solutions for our partners.  Through our programs, health plans experience healthier enrollee populations, more effective management of healthcare spending, and meaningful return on investment.

At Edumedics, I built the data analytic reporting system which is now used for >12 disease management programs.  This system uses proprietary, public, third party, and health plan data and was built using R.  I maintain this system currently.  Additionally, I developed and implemented a health plan reporting system for consulting projects for about 20 other clients and prospects.  As part of my job, I listen to input and criticism from several types of employees (clinical, management, and C-suite) in order to improve my work.

In addition to my duties as the data analyst, I also supplemented in web development.  At Edumedics, I did full stack development using the php/MySQL stack on the back end, and Angular 1 and TypeScript on the front end.

Healthcare Strategy Group (HSG) is an industry leader in hospital and physician alignment. With clients in 30 states, HSG guides hospitals through a progressive method of strategic physician alignment. They begin by building a strategy, and accompany clients through the stages of development and implementation. These efforts all lead to a common vision and mutual success between hospital and physicians.

At HSG, I wrote various educational presentations regarding the impacts of healthcare reform on hospitals and worked in a team to develop strategic plans for several hospitals.  These strategic plans included a financial analysis, an employee opinion survey, key informant interviews, a consumer opinion survey, and a Physician Needs Analysis.

Policy Analyst

Worked for the Department of Housing and the Office of Sustainability at the University.  Coordinated a energy reduction competition between all of the campus housing, and did various other work for the Office of Sustainability.

Managed recycling programs for multiple residence halls.
