Robert Covington

Robert Covington is the Founder and Managing Partner of Braemont Capital, a private equity firm that invests in growth businesses. He has over two decades of experience working with families and founder entrepreneurs to source, invest in, and add value to companies.

Prior to founding Braemont Capital in 2021, Robert held several leadership roles at other investment firms:

• Co-Managing Partner at RedBird Capital Partners from 2014 to 20212
• Managing Director at The Stephens Group, LLC from 2008 to 20142
• Partner at SSM Partners from 2002 to 20082

Robert also has entrepreneurial experience as the Founder and CEO of Firstdoor, a pioneering "Software-as-a-Service" company, from 1999 to 2001.2

In addition to his role at Braemont Capital, Robert currently serves on the boards of directors for:

• Incline Insurance Group since August 202324
• Loenbro, a specialized technical services firm, since January 2024123

Robert previously served as Chairman of the Board for Compass Datacenters from 2017 to 2021.2

Robert holds an MPH from Yale University and a BS in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Washington and Lee University, where he received the Distinguished Alumni Award.12 He has been active in his community, serving on the boards of The Nature Conservancy, Streets Ministries, Serve West Dallas, and as Chapter Chair of YPO Dallas from 2022 to 2023.2
