Robert Cohen

Robert Cohen is an accomplished entrepreneur and placement agent with over fourteen years of experience in the financial industry. He is the founder and former CEO of Cohen Brothers, an international placement agency with offices in Dublin, London, Madrid, and Paris that raises capital for private asset strategies, including venture capital, private equity and debt, infrastructure, real estate, hedge funds, and long-only asset classes. Moreover, Cohen is a specialist in fund and capital raising for tech unicorn hunters globally, in a stage agnostic manner, through primary funds, co-investments, secondary directs, and special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs).

Cohen earned his diploma in business management (HEC) from HEC School of Management and studied preparatory school to French business Grandes Ecoles at Lycée Janson de Sailly from 1979 to 1980. With extensive industry expertise, he advises institutional investors on global fund manager selection, introduction, and due diligence. As such, he has established long-term investor relationships and worked with prominent fund managers such as Capital Dynamics, Amundi, and Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Throughout his career, Cohen has held numerous senior roles at top-tier global firms, including CEO France at Deutsche Asset Management, Director at Schroders, Senior Vice President at Natixis, and Deputy CFO, Specialized Credit Division at Barclays. Moreover, he was a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young, where he honed his financial acumen as a practiced auditor.
