Robert Cleave

Robert Cleave is an accomplished professional in the space industry, currently serving as an Executive Committee Member and Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Neo Space Group (NSG). He is also a member of the founding team of NSG, which focuses on advancing satellite communication services globally, particularly in alignment with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiatives.

With over 35 years of experience in the space sector, Cleave has held various significant roles, including Chief Operating Officer at Sempre.AI and positions at Lockheed Martin, where he was instrumental in business development and managing commercial launch services. His career began at Rockwell International (now Boeing), where he contributed to GPS and scientific satellite programs, including work on the first Mars rover.125

Cleave is recognized for his innovative contributions, such as founding XTAR, LLC, which was the first satellite operator to exclusively offer communication services at the X-band frequency. He has also been involved in numerous startups and serves as an advisor to several companies and organizations in the space industry.234

He holds a degree in aerospace engineering from Arizona State University and a certificate in systems engineering from the University of Southern California.123
