(1) I lead geological, petrological, geochemical, and geochronological research on different scientific projects including method development to increase the precision of environmental and geochronological analysis. 

•	I supervised graduate and undergraduate students, overseeing their data quality and work progress resulting in successful program completion. 

•	I raised funding through NSF for several Research projects.

•	I published 14 articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Nature and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Guest Editor for 2 special issues at high-ranking journals.

•	I presented research results and progress at ca. 30 national and international meetings.

(2) I Created and taught 15 introductory and advanced courses for geology and environmental Science majors. The courses included Introduction to Earth System Science and Climate, Sustainability, Environmental Geochemistry, and Oceanography. 

•	I Increased undergraduate enrollment by 70% and Earth and Environmental major declaration by 50%.
•	I adapted courses for students’ global access during the Pandemic. 
•	I revised the coursework for remote and hybrid teaching during the Pandemic.
•	I raised NSF funding for Learning Assistants for courses and was selected as a department representative for the program.

I managed the daily operation of the laboratory and mass spectrometers and oversaw contract work and production of support data for reports and scientific proposals. 

•	Implemented data quality control rules which resulted in greater consistency and reliability.
 
•	Standardized innovative analytical techniques which introduced a new stream of revenue.

•	Supervised laboratory users and ensured that the obtained results met quality standards. 

•	Ran internal and external instrument standards on a regular basis, designed for a variety of applications, including sensitivity assessment, determination of digestion efficiency and machine drift as well as controls for simple to complex sample analysis and interlaboratory comparative assessment.

•	Obtained data for and participated in ca. 20 NSF proposals resulting in ca. $900,000 research funding for the laboratory.

•	Published 19 articles in leading peer-reviewed journals.

•	Supervised several outreach programs for the MIT laboratory, including the Cambridge Science Fair and the NSF ‘EARTHTIME’ outreach program.
